Artwork Requirements for Printing
To help us print your job correctly, please supply your artwork in the correct format before sending it to Kwik Printing. Proper artwork setup helps avoid delays, colour changes, white borders and print problems.
These artwork requirements apply to common print jobs such as business cards, flyers, posters, folders and other professional printing products.
Business Card and Flyer Specials Artwork
For business card specials and flyer specials, please make sure your artwork is supplied as follows:
Special Artwork Requirements
- Artwork must be supplied in print ready PDF or JPG format.
- Artwork must be supplied in CMYK colour format.
- If artwork is supplied in RGB or with spot colours, we will convert the file to CMYK.
- We cannot be held responsible for colour changes caused by RGB or spot colour conversion.
- Artwork must include 3mm bleed.
- If there is no bleed, a thin white border may be added around the artwork.
General Artwork Requirements
For most print jobs, please supply your artwork in the correct print-ready format.
File Format
- Print ready PDF format
- JPG format where suitable
- Crop marks on PDF files
- Registration marks on PDF files
Colour and Bleed
- CMYK for full colour print jobs
- Spot colours for selected one to three colour print jobs
- 3mm bleed on all artwork
- Correct final size before sending
Colour Setup for Printing
Full colour print jobs should be supplied in CMYK. One to three colour print jobs may require spot colours, depending on the job. If you are unsure, please ask our team before sending your artwork.
Kwik Printing uses a densitometer to help print your job at the correct colour density. If you provide a colour sample, we can match the colour as closely as possible, and in some cases improve on it.
Turnaround Times
We provide most quotes within one working day. Turnaround time for printing depends on the product, quantity, artwork, finishing requirements and current production schedule.
We specialise in urgent print jobs where possible, but please speak to one of our consultants for accurate turnaround times on your specific job.
Flyers
Please note: we usually require 1 to 2 days for 5000 A5 flyers or 10,000 A6 single-sided flyers.
Double-sided flyers usually require 2 to 3 days. Smaller flyer runs may take longer depending on current orders.

We do not print fewer than 500 business cards per name.
Our business card runs are printed once a week, once the run has filled up.
